About Me

Abby
I was born in Baltimore and raised in Cleveland. I have lived (and cooked) in cities as diverse as Denver and New Orleans. I live in the Cleveland area with my husband Bill, my son Sebastian and our pets. I’m a stay-at-home mom (for now) who cooks—from scratch—every single day. My passion for cooking, however, came about long before I was married and a mother. In my teens I began cooking and concocting, and soon became quite adept at making my specialty—pizza—among many other things. Anything I ate that I really liked I tried to re-create. I experimented. I tried. I failed. I tried again. I succeeded. Grilling, gourmet, baking, international cuisines—you name it, I’ve done it. And I keep learning. In fact, sometimes, after years of doing things a certain way, I’ve had true epiphanies—those “a-ha” moments that have hit me in the head like a sack of flour and changed the course of how I prepare and create and perfect my art. Some of these discoveries are too remarkable to keep to myself, so I’m going to share.
